New episode of @marvelbythemonth.com dropped this AM. For how absolutely bizarre WAR IS HELL is – not to mention the fact that I'm pretty sure it was Chris Claremont's first ongoing Marvel series! – I'm very surprised that it's not better known relative to other Marvel '70s weirdness.
FREE PREVIEW! We conclude our coverage of WAR IS HELL with the second and final episode of MORTALITY by the Month! Become a Patron at patreon.com/marvelbythemonth to hear the full version!

Look, you can say a lot about Hogan's legacy: he was racist, he was terrible to his colleagues, he put himself above other people, he firmly believed in the supremacy of white people, he was a bad wrestler, his life was a net negative for society.

That's it. That's the post.

It never once occurred to me that Huey, Dewey, and Louie wouldn’t be called “Huey, Dewey, and Louie” everywhere. 🤯

The cognitive dissonance required to support the government saying both “Forget vaccines, you just need fresh, healthy food” and “We’re firing all the food inspectors” is truly staggering.

I'm very grateful that I had a therapist who advised me to get screened just so I would have a sense of the specifics of my neurodivergence but strongly advised me against getting a formal medical diagnosis. She didn't know this was coming, but she was aware that it could be.

Friends, Jennifer’s memorial is this Sunday, April 6th at Books with Pictures here in Portland, where she spent some of her happiest days (and ate her weight in waffles).

The service will start at 11 am, with a light lunch and gathering to follow.
