I know it's because it's the tutorial case but it's fun how blatantly the first case in Of The Devil is a stitchup. The cops have so many unsolved murders they grab a guy who obviously couldn't have done it and go "let's get this guy to sign a confession, and then it's the DA's problem"

Now I think about it I wonder if Overboard/Expelled took any inspiration from Higurashi/Umineko's time loop murder mysteries.
like, I’m still undecided on the character and on the “tell it how it REALLY happened” but the STORY (especially the pieces of the “how to solve” and what they imply) overall is really compelling.

The Guinevere androids "using the same magic" to "remember everything" reminds me of the Star Wars Hotel wristbands which (supposedly) had chips to track you so they could use an earpiece to prompt the cast members with your name, where you are in the story, etc.

My computer is so old that when I play Silent Hill F, it keeps stuttering in combat and I have to set the resolution scale to 25%
