I think the big flaw in Iron Lung is Simon's emotional arc. What gets him from just wanting to survive, to crawling through blood to save the blackbox? Like, you can infer that Eva sacrificing herself is part of it, but there's not enough emotional meat on the bones.

I have a very dear family friend who is an anthropologist from an upper-middle-class family and as close to a P.G. Wodehouse character who has ever lived. He once drove the entire length of Italy because he got lost trying to get to the city from Rome's airport.
It was rather startling as an adult to learn that P.G. Wodehouse had in fact only slightly exaggerated the characters he saw around him.

There’s been an enormous amount of rhetoric from conservative media lately alleging that protests against genocide equals incitement to terrorism. The new hate speech laws reflect this. Do you think we’re going to see them used against racist white violence? Will Murdoch media be held liable?

Reflecting on it, one of the craziest things that happened yesterday - and it was clear even from rapid response reports - is how, after the shooting, DHS flooded many dozens of agents into the scene, effectively taking over the block. Not MPD or emergency services, the immigration agencies.
