People getting mad here about anyone saying it's good that MTG and Trump are fighting. I teach democratization every semester. The first slide says 'elite fracture.' That's always where it starts. It's good when people with bad politics are fighting one another.
I do not regret to inform you that we are going to win
BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.

The management of this Home Depot came out with loudspeakers denouncing my pastor and the other assembled clergy members and concerned citizens as "not Godly people" and "not real Christians" which is a heck of an official policy statement to hear from a representative of the Home Depot corporation.
Just learned that my pastor, the sweetest human I ever met, led a vigil protesting Home Depot's open-doors-to-ICE policy on Dia de Muertos, and the Home Depot they were protesting shut their heavy steel security doors to the harmless clergy, something they do not do to actual ICE.

Several years ago, we put a whole bunch of data from a project into Wikidata. Now, as a result, some people who we had no more info for aside from a name or could not disambiguate are actually identifiable. LOD FTW.

100000%+ accurate
In the US, the only leverage many academics have is threatening to leave. That leverage is growing weaker and weaker as jobs disappear. At this point, beyond a few superstars, it’s effectively nil. There are, of course, other forms of leverage, but they require working in concert.

performative reading, lack of reading skills, nobody's reading anymore -- NO!

tell me about a book that changed you

for me? the *extremely* ahistorical novel, THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY which I read at 13 and was like, "Oh, art can be *everything* to a maker, for good and bad"

Did you see where the President of Iran announced that the drought there is so bad that if they don't get any rain in the next two months they'll run out of water and *evacuate Tehran*?

FYI I’m especially keen these days to talk to:

- folks who were at the D&D Live events 2017-19

- AP creators pre-2010(ish)

- AP creators who do/have done charity events

- any game designer or AP creator with Shakespearean or pre-1800 projects (existing or any stage of development)
I don't usually do this, but I will be at #PAXU and would love to know about your booth/panel/other cool thing.

I'm in the final stretch of the first draft of the AP book, so would also love to talk to folks I haven't had a chance to (along with familiar faces I''ll be glad to see again).
