Ooh, ooh!

I'm going to have to redo my banner photo 'cos I've just acquired a missing book from my Joan Butler collection - "Sun Spots" published in 1942.

So, it's 35 down and only 7 to go!
Damn right!
I'm hearing criticisms of the end to the two child limit, because it was done just to mollify Labour backbenchers, at a cost of £billions.

I remember another govt delivering a referendum on EU membership, just to mollify restive backbenchers. That's costing way, way more... A little perspective?

It’s astonishing that Nigel Farage hasn’t been forced to resign as an MP and as leader of Reform - any other MP or party leader would have been hounded out by all of this evidence of racism and antisemitism, so why is he still in post…?

🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

There is NO FUCKING EXCUSE for this to be happening.

I had a baby die in my arms of pertussis some fifty years ago. It was a HORRIBLE death. But my fellow nurses said to me, "It's almost stamped out now, they're all getting the shots, we won't be seeing this again."

HOW THE FUCK ARE WE HERE. 😡
A third infant has died in Kentucky, KYDPH adds:

“These are Kentucky’s first pertussis deaths since 2018. None of the infants nor their mothers received the recommended pertussis vaccinations during pregnancy or early infancy.”

We wanted to use some white-topped drawing pins to hang up our snowflake decorations.

I said, "I think I bought some of those a while ago. Let me look..."

We looked in the Drawer which has Things To Attach Things To Other Things.

"Bingo! We've got loads left!"

It's not even primarily about that, doing the right thing isn't all about rapidly changing economics. It's also about making a positive case for immigration, not putting peaceful protestors in prison, not treating refugees like shit...

But the moment someone is actually charged, their lawyers can ask for all the files as disclosure. And that overrides the 'Sorry, active investigation' call.
Right on cue, Trump orders a new DOJ investigation into Democrats’ ties to Epstein. Bondi announces a probe aimed at Clinton, Summers, Hoffman, and others on the left. No matching, broad sweep of Trump allies or GOP donors. But now DOJ can say, “Sorry, active investigation, can’t release that yet.”

Buckle up because this is gonna be a long one.

The Epstein files didn’t magically become “ready.” The politics did. For years: delay, deny, distract. Then overnight: “We have nothing to hide, release the files.” Sure. Let’s talk about the excuses, the loopholes, and who’s being invesigated.

Too right! Placing people under permanent supervision/examination doesn't give them the certainty/stability they need to develop into rounded members of society
It’s vital that once asylum seekers are granted refugee status, they are able to build their lives with certainty about their future, and a sense of welcome. We have a long proud history of supporting asylum seekers in this country. We should seek to uphold that.
