On reposts: Given that there is no algorithm here, for posts to get seen across a longer period of time & by a wider audience they require reposts: these are much more important than retweets. Accordingly, if you like a post do consider reposting it as well *especially* those by smaller accounts!

We must show visible refusal to comply because the absence of it implies consent. Most folks are reading social cues to understand what is & isn't acceptable & drawing their conclusions from what "common sense" dictates.
I'm still convinced that Trump pushes these atrocious nominees through as part of his power grab. But these fights matter even when they lose. The losses build will.

It’s healing and empowering to sit in a circle of like-minded people who share their hurt, their anger, their experiences.

We may not have won the presidency this time, but we gained the chance to gather and create community with all the best people who have zero fucks left.

With a conservative hold on federal courts, state supreme courts are now where voting rights, abortion, and other critical issues will be fought.

@taniel.bsky.social explains how last week's elections set the stage:
How Supreme Court Elections Set the Stage for Coming Battles, from Voting to Abortion
More than before, progressives working to protect people’s rights will need state supreme courts to be hospitable to lawsuits that are increasingly dead on arrival at the federal level.

But you love it and the mugs are around somewhere

What an achievement vaccines are. What a monument to our love for each other it is to stare straight into the face of something as horrific and unstoppable as smallpox or measles or polio or cervical cancer and say “You know what, it doesn’t have to be like this.”

First, hit the like button, reply with #NoDemUnder1k, and most importantly, hit the REPOST button.

Then follow each other back. The easiest way to do so is to follow everyone who reposts.

Here's how:
