One way to resist? Read more, use the library, buy from local bookstores, post reviews, talk about the books you're reading, read banned books. Anything to do with reading, and books, they seem to hate. Stay educated, and continue reading.

I swear it'll be a mistake to migrate back to twitter even if Elon and his Nazi brethren pack their shit up and leave.

I like the clean slate feeling I get from this app. It's open here and cluttered over there. I'm never going back.
BEHOLD! Bluesky has hit 30 MILLION users!

We’re here to stay!

Thread. This is the insanity transphobes are pushing.
So a Google search for trans people in Illinois revealed me, and she therefore assumed I was responsible for transing her kid - who, again, I'd never even met. I didn't know this person existed.

But she called me, telling me to untrans her kid or she'd report me to the ARDC.

"Hey what if as white people we could exploit indigenous people but we frame it in a fun altruistic way while also ignoring everything in the past that would make even suggesting this abominable?"

Yeah this feels on par for white ladies. We can't even vote in our own best interests.

As the transgender community continues to fight for civil rights in the U.S., one of the most common arguments against progress is that transgender people are a recent phenomenon.

But it’s a fight that’s been happening here for decades and around the world for centuries. ⤵️

If the generator could actually stay on so we had enough power to charge our devices to keep track of the nearby fires that would be great 🥴

Remember to support your local library whether it’s in person or via Libby and/or Hoopla!
If you’re buying physical books, go to your local bookstore BEFORE a chain store or Amazon. Buying secondhand is always an option too: ThriftBooks, PangoBooks, GoodwillBooks.

If you’re afraid to write your book because you think its content stands no chance in the coming climate, Remember that banned books (and books victims thought the world would never see) are the only honest window we have into some of the darkest moments of history. Write the book. #booksky
