Giving in to the mood reading urges have really made me love reading again. I still have reading goals but I've just tried to reduce my self placed expectations around reading.

A book I always recommend is If You Could See Me Now by Cecelia Ahern. It's light, but does have an underlying message that hit me in the heart in a good way. Semi-romantic subplot. It's such a comfort read for me, & helps to remind me to protect my inner child.

I stopped requesting them for the same reason. It felt like I was making reading more of a burden than a passion, and it became overwhelming.
