Queernorm stories build worlds where queerness exists w/out explanation or judgment, where identity doesn’t have to be defended to be real. Even when queer characters aren’t at the center, the absence of prejudice reshapes the story itself, and that is powerful. Here’s my underrated faves! #booksky

I love the feeling of getting what feels like a personalized recommendation by a bookish friend and The Lighthouse at the Edge of the World by JR Dawson is one of those books. It is a queer contemporary fantasy about life, loss, and family and I’ve been warned to have the tissues handy! #booksky
