The "As-a-Service" business model is just more goddamned rent-seeking in a country increasingly seeking rent because it produces nothing of goddamned substance anymore, and the practice should have been squashed the second it made itself known, even as monied interests ensured we didn't.

When was it ever? Networking and nepotism ALWAYS was the key... well that and stupid luck.
Hearing "why aren't you working for a big studio? Why aren't you directing at your age? You're so good, what do you mean you have trouble finding a job?" gets so tiresome. Thank you for saying I'm a good artist but I don't think that really is the thing that actually gets you jobs anymore 🤷
