Yoga isn't about what bodies can look like in asana—or after years of practice. Yoga at its best is about how we can feel—deeply, profoundly, connected.

The next chapter isn’t a chapter. It’s a universe.

Just the act of reading means that we are open to considering new ideas. It means that we are open to being shown more. To many, this is scary—it means their world could collapse. I believe that limiting, fear-heavy, hate-filled worlds SHOULD collapse.

And so I read and write.
#WritingCommunity Books are never more important than when there is a concerted effort to try and ban knowledge.

Our highest loyalty doesn't belong to people or parties. It belongs to principles.

If you wouldn't accept it from your opponents, you shouldn't accept it from your allies.

Integrity is standing by your values even when your own group violates them.

If you think you’re having a spiritual awakening because your intuition is heightened or your gifts seem more available, if you are only thinking of yourself/your story, you are NOT having a spiritual awakening. A spiritual awakening is FOR ALL and BECAUSE OF ALL. And—much needed in these moments.

It’s not about what shape you’re in. It’s about how it feels to move. To let breath take you further.

It’s about BEING—both in and beyond the body.

“…it is often in our limitations that we feel what we want most strongly.”

What a read on what’s going on right now! 💯
Tonight is the new moon in Sagittarius, and the final lunation of this calendar year. What a year it has been. The themes of this new moon represent the threshold we stand on now, between freedom and constraint. 1/

I love year-end reviews. My favorite thing to ask myself is:
what do I believe in?
and what am I doing about it?

This question, more than any other, keeps me true and on track.

Slow down and see. Feel.
Learn with and from the body.
It not only “keeps the score,”
But—when you are ready—
It will open doors.

I saw the best version I could ever dream of Handel’s Messiah Sunday afternoon, and I can’t stop thinking about it. It was small town symphony + 2 community choirs and local HBCU student choir all packed into a church. Mesmerizing and moving, all at once.

And now I’m set for the season! ❤️

What a heartbreaking story of artist, Pamela Colman-Smith. I will think of it each time I interact with her artwork, sending healing for all the ways she was exploited and unseen by those who profited from her gifts.

Until this energy of exploitation is fully healed and eradicated on this earth. 🧡
