this is a comically textbook example of how totalitarians think - the masses are mere clay, mindless; might makes right; the world is run via conspiracy and endless propaganda.
Imagine being this sane

I live in a nightmare scenario where everyone i know or ever associated with are coming out as monarchists or regime supporters. Coworkers, family, neighbors. It's very heartbreaking and isolating.

However my close family is, neither of those and it's honestly quite the pleasant surprise.

while us cultural hegemony has no doubt influenced the globe, i think a more internationalized multicultural world as opposed to intl. us cultural hegemony is probably going to be a more productive one in terms of artistic creation, including the art made in the us as well
people born in america probably don’t realize how cool america used to be. the death of US soft power is going to have long term consequences we are only beginning to see

It’s kinda interesting when some people are orthodox Marxists when it comes to the US, and do garden variety liberal analysis when it comes to BRICS countries.

Regarding RGG studios and Yakuza 3's trans substory, that substory featured a real life trans celebrity, something people miss out on, so it's possible they just didn't bother getting her again.
Other than that, it's over, my goat is washed, pack it up.

The discourse between feminism and anti-feminism has always been "women don't deserve this" v/s "yes you do and actually, you like it, so shut up"

The crown of Empress Eugénie was one of nine invaluable royal ornaments snatched by burglars during the Louvre heist in October, but the thieves dropped it on the sidewalk before making their escape. The Louvre announced it will soon invite restorers to submit proposals for the crown’s repair.
The Louvre Thieves Dropped This Priceless Crown. Now It Looks Like This.
Empress Eugénie’s crown was left lying on the sidewalk after the Louvre Museum heist in October. The museum has now released pictures of the damage.

Cool so after months of pointedly ignoring and suppressing comments about Kagawa’s history as a violent sex offender and refusing to comment on it, the official stance they’re taking now is “we hired him on purpose for that reason”
RGG Studio not only cast Kagawa despite his actions, they are specifically taking advantage of his image as a creep to sell the role.

Guess that’s that. #REMOVEKAGAWA

I think when people think about "evil pedo billionaire conspiracy" they can often imagine it as working in the shadow one world government conspiracy theory sense, rather than how conspiracies actually work which looks more like The Traitors.

Crime is a social construction. Helping slaves was criminal. In some states handing water to people standing in line to vote is a crime. For a long time a husband raping his wife was legal. If you define your morality based on the law, at the very best, you understand the world like a child does
I'm sorry, I'm lol'ing hard at "crime he disapproves of." As if some crimes are perfectly fine and okay.

Yeah, go ahead and set the city on fire. Just like Trump and Steven Miller want to see happen. Play right into their hands!

This is so stupid.

I've only seen anarchists have a consistent analysis of power and opression.

Liberals and anti-anarchists can act smug all tgey like, but their idwas have only worked in the context of keeping the hegemony in western world, no matter what is sacrificed.

NGL, I think the liberal screeching of the moment is coz they sense this particular fascist wave has foundered and the positioning for the ratfucking has begun. They don't care about reducing the harm it does on the way out. They only care about getting control of that apparatus.

Anarchists will let you down too. So will anarchist organisations fall into corruption and self interest. We all hold a responsibility for our part in making society work, and making oppression impossible.

The contradiction of anarchism is it's the grandest possible dream for what civic responsibility could look like paired with the certain knowledge that simply voting every 4-5 years has never achieved what it promises civic responsibility looks kind.

The weird thing about anarchism is realising that whether we live in a world with or without cops, coalitions of the willing are the only thing that will bring about justice, freedom or equality either way, not cops.

One of the other things that I think will happen in the aftermath of the Epstein files is the focus on apologetically and critically engaging with the flattening and individualised concepts of "perversion" and "scapegoating", to distract from the structural nature of sexual abuse and violence.
Pessimistic prediction, but:

At some point, being in the Epstein files a few times without direct evidence that you killed, fucked and ate a baby, is going to become a mark of prestige. Because enough powerful people are implicated that accepting it will be presented as realistic grown up politics.
