Actual icon. The modern horror landscape wouldn't be the same without her, not to mention her outstanding work across many other genres. In many ways, it's wild that her last name was Hill, because she moved mountains.

Someone on threads expressed bafflement that horror becomes popular during trying political times but it's pretty simple as far as i'm concerned: engaging in horror you control by walking away or fast forwarding or turning it off is a way of controlling fear versus a world that blasts you with it.

If you all would have included truthful Black History as part of American History, you wouldn't be so "shocked" by what is happening right now. In fact, what is happening now likely wouldn't be happening because you would have been able to see it coming with knowledge of history.
