It's not insanity to do Musks and Billionaire Bros Oligarchys bidding. Trump was told he will only get to stay in power if he continues to find resources in the world for them to exploit. Venezuela was an easy target because the population was dissatisfied with Maduro .

I assumed the NSS would just ignore/deprioritize Europe (It did that on defense/NATO).
