This is going to be an awesome event in March. It rocks that I get to be a part of it with @thomasdrance.bsky.social. We're already cooking up some fun shows for that week with special guests.

("popular" and "sophisticated" are their words, not ours. But i'll take it!)

Pham struggled with contact lenses in 2025, and this report from late June says he felt like he was "heading in a right direction" after trying multiple different lenses. Timing lines up almost perfectly with his Contact/Power gains.

Tommy Pham got better as the season went on, adding positive Contact and Power contributions to his consistently plus Swing Decisions.

He faced a brutal slate of challenging pitches at the start of the year, then gradually crept up to a more league-average quality of competition.

I’ve been doing a pod for my stream regulars for awhile now. A few of them want me to promote it more so I’ve decided to do a monthly publicly visible version (all other episodes get uploaded quietly to yt)

I talk about my job, data science, baseball stuff, management stuff

I don’t understand how the Avs are *so* dominant at even strength and **so** impotent on the power play.

Hall of Fame voter metrics!

"Stinginess" measures player slots not used. 1 is median, higher means voted for fewer players, and 0 means they used all 10.
"Orthodoxy" is how common their votes were that year, given the number of players you voted for. 100 score means you had the most common players.
