It has occurred to me that on a self-styled "author" account I should talk about "books" and "writing" so I guess I'll start doing that soon
RICE N SHIT
Cook some rice
veggies of your choice (I like onions & bell peppers), saute them boys in your wok
add the rice with some hoison sauce
1 can of cream of whatever soup
1 can black beans
CHEESE (whatever's in the fridge)
Top with protein of your choice (or don't, it works on its own)

The Plains operate under an emperor, who's supported by a series of lower lords and clan heads who govern by the consent of the people (not formal elections but still a consensus system)
They're on the cusp of building themselves a functional republic

One of the best feelings is picking up a book that you expect to be the conclusion to a series, realizing it's not, and also realizing "yeah I'd 100% read another of these"

Was a big AC fan back in the day, and I always thought Black Flag was where they totally lost the plot on the modern-day stuff
1-3 had a story and character throughlines. Then 3 killed Desmond for some goddamn reason, and they never knew what to do after that
