If there’s anything I’ve made a bad call about in life it’s how much I thought I’d like a corporate job

I was…so wrong😩
rather than talk about Scott Adams I want to talk about something weirder (me). Who else was really into Dilbert when you were 12. Who else was like, boy, I can't wait to work a cubicle job

Just once in my life I want folks to set up standards so they stop wasting time.

Someone who’d turn on trans kids and gleefully break up encampments isn’t gonna “be good”

And stop sacrificing people to find out

Ok I thought it was just me being difficult because I always link when I reference health legislation in a piece. You’d think they’re getting dinged on SEO or something.

Never occurred to me before, but this is basically forcing master data management duties all the way out to the customer. Bc there's so many people in the last mile, none of them have the whole picture, and they're all trying to build walled ecosystems.

Fascism is what you get when a country is “run like a business”…

…which is an incredibly sticky problem when most of a country has a hobby of corporate apologetics
January 7, 2026 at 4:46 PM
We won’t make any sustainable progress against fascism in the US until we deal with the significant overlap with corporate structures and corporate culture.

Most people’s conditioning to accept and defend fascism in this country starts there…so political reactions are already reflexive.

I don’t care how much you hate Trump or how hard you voted for Kamala . If you aren’t examining your anti Blackness and anti immigrant and anti queer behavior ?

You aren’t doing what you need to

A lot of people have ridden this trauma into money and platforms with no reflection

Antivaxxers like RFK Jr love to cherry pick policies from countries like Denmark so they can falsely justify reducing vaccines in the US, while ignoring context.

If they really wanted to learn effective health policy from Denmark, they would be pushing for universal single-payer healthcare.
January 5, 2026 at 11:57 PM
This article explains some of what’s gone on in Denmark (it seems to be mostly universal healthcare but not just that) www.statnews.com/2025/12/19/d...
Why Denmark's vaccine schedule works for Denmark — but not for the United States
With its vaccine schedule, “Denmark has made a values choice to accept preventable hospitalizations and illnesses that other countries have chosen to prevent.”

1). The US is in the middle of the worst flu season in a decade.
2). Pertussis cases are the highest they have been in 20 years.
3). Measles has rebounded and elimination status has been lost.
RFK.Jr. has not recommended vaccination, instead he is aggressively rolling back vaccine policy.

But it’s more important than ever when probably more than half the country thinks it’s a good idea for a government to run like a business
January 4, 2026 at 4:33 PM
It’s like it *pains* some people to even engage with the concept of responsibility as being inherently intertwined with opportunity and extraction

Especially when a hierarchy is involved

And it’s probably because they’d have to examine a *lot* of their relationships…

We’re not going to make any progress on corporate overreach until your average person stops blaming the public for being “stupid” in the fact of gross corporate neglect…

People aren’t stupid for getting hit by trains

Or burned by coffee

Or not “doing their research”
