A wonderful Joyce Sidman book.
What happens in nature at night?

From owls to moths, spiders, efts, and bats, poems tell the night stories of creatures in the forests and woodlands. Informational sidebars link poetry to facts and science!

Yep. I second this.
I have no opinion about her acting, but right now Cheryl Hines’s choice of spouse is bringing dishonor to our good name.
ok, just because this is close to my heart: who's the worst person with your first name?

Speaking as a writer who just finished the first draft of a MG novel that turned out to be about grief, I wholeheartedly appreciate this thread. We write what we write. There will always be a child that needs that book. Can’t wait to read Kate’s.
Not long ago, I was tagged on a post that complained there are too many kids' novels that address grief, and I've been thinking about it ever since. (thread)

1. Go to your local library and fill out request forms.

2. Show up at your local school board meetings. Sign up to speak. Remind them that access to books that are relevant and relatable INCREASES LITERACY, which is literally the job of schools
