The Germans identified the need for a small anti-tank gun that could easily be concealed #OTD in 1925. The result was the 3.7 cm Pak, a potent anti-tank gun for its time that was long in the tooth by the Second World War, earning the nickname "doorknocker". #artillery #history

Sal Busema has died at the age of 89, a comic legend at least to me, he never got the strong critical acclaim of guys like Jack Kirby, but if your the right fan you know how good he was, and if nothing else, I'm going to miss the way he drew punches in comics.

I've been hard at work putting together the next few months of material for my Patreon account, which will focus on kid-friendly (though still very usable for adults) #ttrpg content. Before I get to that, here is my collection from Reedshallow. 4 documents, 3 battle maps, 3 locations, & 2 factions.

The sci-fi art of John Berkey

Berkey, along with Burns, Foss, Harris, Whelan and Mead defined sci-fi art for me growing up.

Roberto Dacosta, Sunspot, portrait by Bill Sienkiewicz

Sienkiewicz has an uncanny ability to get at the essence of his subjects, this is a perfect representation of the character

“I got some things to take care of before I check out. And you’re at the top of the list.”

It’s rare I share a cover, but when it came to this issue’s showdown between Grimjack and Skorzny - as good as the interior art was - nothing matched the perfection of what Flint Henry did here on the front.

I watched the whole video, I appreciate the fact that you address issues with full form arguments, I stopped blogging and posting about certain issues online because, for the most part, short form discussions are pointless and just cause churn. Most of the worthwhile questions are complicated.
The response to the latest video has been lovely. The comments, aside from literally only 2-3 hateful ones out of hundreds, have been thoughtful, considerate, and insightful even when they disagree me.

So, so tired of being awash in tech bros, AI, reality TV, crypto, and the clown show that passes itself off as political discourse. Just want to step completely out of it all, disconnect, unplug.

Going to take a news holiday for a few days, maybe run a one-shot for the kids and have a few laughs.

I worked in science publishing for a year and academic publishing for 14 years, I started as an editorial assistant, then an associate editor, then a managing editor.

It’s hard, unforgiving work, and you can bet I remembered everyone who was decent to me on the way up.
Editors and Assistant Editors keep everything rolling.

They're the first, and last line of defense when it comes to balancing ambition and schedule, intent and execution.

They deserve far more credit and kudos for their hard work.

Question for the GMs, writers, and worldbuilders out there;

Is resurrection a feasible option in your setting?

Is it egregiously expensive, are the skills necessary very rare, is it something that can just turn out very, very badly?

Or is it just not an option?
