I had a joke about Reed Richards, but it was a stretch.

I haven't read this yet, but based solely on the blurb, a conclusion that makes just as much sense is that children with high SOCIAL aptitude flourish in the traditional school environment.
Researchers asked middle-schoolers to play games that require coordination between players to achieve a mutually beneficial outcome. Kids who get good grades did better, suggesting that academic success may reflect broader cognitive abilities. In PNAS: www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

That’s the distinction between Star Wars and Star Trek. In Star Wars the ultimate evil is a tempter figure, it’s Satan, it’s someone whispering look what you can have if you learn to hate. In Star Trek the ultimate evil is a voice impassively telling you to stop caring, it doesn’t matter if you care

Look at that face. St. Lawrence was an early treasurer of the Church, and when the Roman emperor Valerian demanded he hand over the riches, he gathered a bunch of poor people, disabled people, widows etc, and said, "this is our true wealth," and now he's the patron saint of COMEDIANS
