NC lawyer Tom Ellis was on the board of the Pioneer Fund. His protege and partner, Thomas Farr, was nominated 4 times to be a federal judge in NC. (We stopped him in 2018.) They worked with racist Sen. Jesse Helms and established a national network to fund right wing causes. #ncpol
In 1937, Wickliffe Draper (below) founded the Pioneer Fund "to advance the scientific study of heredity and human differences."

However, Draper told a geneticist that he "wished to prove simply that Negroes were inferior." (cont)
