Well, found a bug in Star Wars: Fall of the Empire v0.90 code
If the Luke shot successfully completes a (non-Luke) character mode, but then immediately starts the Luke mode, none of the shots count in Luke mode, and you can never complete Luke in the mode status lights. It bricks the game.
