Author, drummer, urban wit. #AT40 regular. Letterman writer, 1991-2015, Adrianne Tolsch husband 1990-2016. That will always be my best credit.
I'm old enough to remember when Kyrie almost mind****ed Jaylen out of the league....
OPINION: In retrospect, the decision to draft Jaylen Brown over Kris Dunn and Bubby Hield in the 2016 NBA Draft was a decent one, I guess.

(Just watched last night's game. Holy smokes, Jaylen.)

Okay, one more thing. If you were listening to the #1 Top 40 AM station in Boston in 1979 and "Fire" came on, my hand to God, this is what you heard:
I'm ridin' in you car
You turn on the radio (STING: "RKO!").... #AT40

Okay, I Gibb up.... But let me leave you with a full-throated recommendation. The new oral history of The Bottom Line, the iconic NYC music venue of the 1970s-90s, is out. I cannot recommend it highly enough (and not because I have couple of quotes in it). I have devoured this thing. #AT40

People always say the "comedy boom" of the 1980 was caused by Cable TV. Not true. It was caused 1) By airline deregulation and all the cheap airlines that could fly headliners from New York and LA into clubs for nothing and 2) By the mob realizing it was a cheaper way to launder coke money. #AT40
I flew Piedmont Airlines many times - they were folded into USAir or as my mom called it, Useless Air.

December, 1979.... And if you were lucky enough to get the Saturday edition of the Albany Times-Union, you were rewarded with the almost-insightful, definitely smart-ass musings of this guy. #AT40

Trump should be in prison for so many different things, but one of them is his taste
Note what Trump is focused on instead of fixing healthcare or bringing down prices.

There is nothing in the Constitution that forbids a president from mass redacting FBI documents to hide evidence of his sex crimes. So the Democrat Party's outrage du jour is, as always, much ado about nothing.

He loved Richie Belzer and had Deniro shadow him for King of Comedy.
In early 70s, Martin Scorsese hung out with Rob Reiner and his cohorts from The Credibility Gap, plus The Ace Trucking Company, and he always cast comedians in his films, including Rob. He's made two movies about bad comics (King of Comedy, Raging Bull). A HUGE comedy nerd. (SCTV doc soon, please!)
I've seen this going around today and it's beautiful, so here's a gift link.

The legacy media narrative has been unified in claiming that Jeffrey Epstein abused minors. But how can anyone report that without interviewing Jeffrey Epstein? I asked Alan Dershowitz.

Before we break for Christmas, i have two gifts for the #AT40 crew. First, seems that Jimmy Fallon coaxed the real Queen of Christmas, Darlene Love, into singing Christmas on his show this week as she did for Letterman. Along with Paul Shaffer and Little Steven. Look for the clip. She is the Queen

Here's what probably happened. The joke worked the first time. Then he cut jokes late from the other two monologues and added one he knew would work. In the end, he's a comic. It's like asking Steven Wright why he did "It's a small world...." more than once on TV.
I actually don’t understand what’s happening here. How or why could this happen? Same joke three times in a week??
