I'd say due to the Murdoch and Russian-influenced media, that 30% has been stirred-up in the last 20 years FAR beyond what they used to be and are artificially seen as a valid voice in the electorate instead of being moderated and gently educated to become better people.

Sadly I think Farage is unstoppable in England which means almost everything social democrats believe in will be reversed, net zero scrapped, NHS privatised etc. Scotland's only chance to avoid this is independence. You & your colleagues need to think hard now about what your priorities should be.
