In 2022, russians killed the mayor of Motyzhyn village, Olha Sukhenko, her husband and son. Before being kidnapped, she was evacuating village residents, delivering food and medicine. Their bodies were found in a mass grave after the liberation of the Kyiv region.

Yep, DOGE is as incompetent as everyone thought. An $8 million "saving" has been listed as an $8 BILLION saving.

That is 14.5% of their total claimed $55 billion in "savings" having been completely made up.

True story: a few years ago, I was being interviewed by a reporter for the New York Times. I mentioned the history of eviction statutes and how they tied into Jim Crow.

The reporter asked "what's Jim Crow?"

When I explained, the reporter didn't believe me and said the US wouldn't do that.

A big-picture concern with the purge at the National Archives (which sets records management rules across fed agencies) and firing of FOIA officials is we may reach a point where we not only can't respond to FOIA requests, but nobody in the govt know what records exist and where they are.
