So, #r4today reports on the Covid inquiry and the “too little, too late” Tory govt, then says they’ll be talking to *Lord* Gove about it. Ugh.
That just sums up so much that’s so very wrong with our politics and media.
Rewarding, rather than punishing, those responsible for failing us all.

Re #TheArchers. Totally agree on all points. Name, shambles (but no birth/wedding/funeral runs smoothly in a soap opera), and the crushing disappointment in the Labour government.
Given that it’s a soap opera and we have had a freaking Peggy for decades couldnt we for the love of g had a new name. also the whole shambles was entirely avoidable if anyone had two brain cells. I’m as disappointed with this as with the Lab govt. ( actually govt wins on disappointment )

Saw Michael Gove on a Rest is Politics podcast recently. Totally unapologetic about what he did to education and for Brexit. Still thinks he’s brilliant and everyone else is wrong. Of course.
Our education system isn't working.

Natasha Devon breaks down exactly how we got here in tomorrow's episode of Bold Politics with Zack Polanski.

Appalling.
So Tim Davie has resigned from the BBC over a failure to be impartial in relation to Trump.

Once.

The BBC has failed to be impartial about trans people since Davie's tenure started.

Systematically and regularly.

So why did he not resign over these?

Just think of the stupidity involved to pay this sum, plus £30/40 billion a year, just to make yourself poorer and make things more difficult for your citizens and business

Maybe they should’ve printed the cost of exiting the EU on the side of the red bus too.

My reporting has touched a nerve with Sussex ICB.

They contacted North West Bylines to remove my article untill they give a right to reply. They already gave a statement, which is included in the article.

I think they're rattled.

I had to read this several times to believe it - in 34 states, child marriage still legal; in 4 states, with NO minimum age- provided one parent and a judge consent. Usually girls. Often, for pseudo religious reasons, including to avoid an abortion after rape 😡😡😡. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/01/o...

I went to the theatre tonight and when I came out the UK was minus one prince. The speed at which the RF has changed their position in the last few days suggests they fear revolution is in the air.
