Cactii are so easy until you have to repot them…with thick gloves and gentle persuasion my 10yo echinocactus has been given more room to grow this morning. It’s now 20cm across and thankfully didn’t put up much of a fight.

I know it’s really hot when Benji sleeps like this. It is his OMG I can’t take any more of this heat so I’ll just flop here pose.
Fur coats are too much for a Spanish summer.

The brilliant Brian Bilston has been studying the stock markets. I don’t know about you, but my personal FFS 100 index is sky high.

Just been to a garden centre packed with people buying their spring flowers. I love that winter is so short here (Costa Blanca) but we do pay for it with boiling summers. I bought this for my little terrace. A splash of colour amongst the cactii. Love fuchsias.

Thanks for an interesting thread. I live near this salt lake in Spain. Sale of salt from the Torrevieja lake helped fund Columbus’ expedition to the New World. Now much of it ends up on Northern European roads in the winter.
