Love it when the subtitler gives up.
(As someone who regularly prepares text for publication, realizing that my note to the author got printed would be a NIGHTMARE, so this is a real "there but for the grace of Helen go I" moment.)

Madhabi Mukherjee should more often be in discussion for India's greatest actresses, IMO, but she is very mis-cast as a

True in my museum career too! I often wonder how people who don’t have a range of historians among their nearest and dearest manage to muddle through life.
The entire trick to academia is to be friends with people with distinct but relevant research specialities
Me: thank u for this photo of a door with no context. Here's the name of the church it's from, a historic photo, it's first appearance on an os map, and a chapter on it from a book that details the date it was built AND the two times it was heavily renovated. You should be able to go from there.

Survival strategy this week, apparently:
* as many coffees as I want
* cry any place, any time
* empty dishwasher by dropping things on the floor
* watch 50s Bengali films
* lose work self in fiddly graphic design tasks
* go to bed at 8:30 but don’t fall asleep until midnight
