On this particular day I want to say that a critic's job is to criticize art, and an artist's job is to make something that resonates with specific people, which necessarily means it won't resonate with others. If every critic liked a piece of art, one or the other of us would not be doing our jobs.

This flashback arc in one piece is becoming my favorite arc of the series. So much is falling into place! Garp is landing as a hero and a coward. Roger’s charm finally is showing through. Hell even the name of “Davy beck fights” is making sense now.

I think what wigs me out about Monster Hunter Wilds focus on Arena quests is that it implies that Monster Hunter is something that you're supposed to be good at. Which i don't rock with. MH is silly, its dumb! You're going to be cheesed by monsters and cheese them back! It's a game to play, not win.

There is for sure a marketing gap. It’s not that narrative games don’t sell, it’s that a lot of publishers aren’t set up to sell them. It’s a lot easier to blame the marketplace or devs for an issue than to give their marketing teams the resources they need to get it done.
It's cool how we keep proving over and over and over again that there's a significant market for narrative-heavy, character-driven, single-player experiences in video games and publishers just categorically refuse to believe us

I finished a level of ball pit through absolutely no effort or skill of my own. I don’t think I was even playing it. The game sorta just, played itself? I think I’m done with it 😅

I had the luxury of seeing Del Toro’s Frankenstein in theaters!!! That movie is a feast for the eyes. Leaving it for home tv’s is undervaluing it. Please go see it with popcorn and an oversized soda!
