Hello Bluesky! You all seem by and large like wonderful people. I hope I come off as someone who is earnestly trying to be kind and thoughtful and hopefully I earn your trust that if a post ever comes off as not that, that that isn’t the way I intended it.
Putting up a sign well in front of my house saying that I’m not a monster made up of composite parts of various human beings, a creature to be frightened of, a mad perversion of science and God so that should the villagers come they can be prepared when they see me that I just let myself go a bit…

Do you think the beware of Doug guy is friends with the midvale school for the gifted kid?

Got a larger collar for my dog today because he’s grown bigger.

I wonder if doms put in as much thought to comfort and color alignment with fur. I suspect the nicer ones do.

Rewatching the Firm…

I remember watching all these legal dramas with my mom growing up.

Do we still make those kinds of movies? I love watching dumb stuff (and don’t get me wrong it’s not high brow but…) but it makes me nostalgic for that era of film where thrillers ruled the day

Son of Sam may have been just one guy who had a dog who told him to do stuff. Imagine the number of crazy people who can do stuff when the Son of God is talking to them!

This is an amazing game you should play even if rhythm games aren’t your thing. The sheer personality packed into it is amazing.

So it’s good news that it warranted someone acquiring it. But if the AI first statements are true though it might be a monkeys paw
👀Hi-Fi RUSH is now officially under KRAFTON’s wing

A separate patch will be released on December 4, removing all references to the previous rights holders - Bethesda and Microsoft.

Tango Gameworks has reportedly started working on a sequel.

I don’t really care about basketball. Tell me about… the souls. Have you collected enough souls yet to get me out of here?!
Nightmarish idea for a startup tbh

I’m guessing at the end of the day it’ll be fine but there is one thing that they very obviously didn’t get right about Metroid.

If the ask was to get Samus into Mario Kart she would be driving a souped up muscle car with a hydraulic system that could eventually be made to jump or ride low.

Going to an elementary school cheer thing is always weird because everyone’s super supportive… and then one of them invariably falls from the one level tall pyramid and the parents don’t know what to do… and then we cheer anyway as the fallen girl cries on the sidelines.

“There’s a difference between a 15 and a 5 year old” is such a BONKERS terrible take.

I want to add it to my getting to know you Rolodex. “What’s your favorite color and um… btw… where do you fall on the Megyn Kelly spectrum before I let you know I have children?”

One of my reports made my day today. He said he noticed that in our all hands whenever I discuss the teams accomplishments I say the name of the person that did the work specifically rather than generalizing the work. I make sure, when I can, everyone gets a callout. I dunno if I can always be…

Had a 30 min conversation with the receptionist on language as I was leaving the office. She was teaching me the various nuances of different Spanish dialects, I was geeking on Platt vs Hoch Deutsch. It was wonderful. Sometimes I can forget all the nonsense and love human beings.

To give you an idea of the kind of sicko I am; I woke up after getting kids to sleep last night, worked until 1:30 to do some additional tasks that’d be assigned to me for the week… and then decided the best use of my time till 2:30 in the morning was to beat 2003s Castlevania Lament of innocence

I will die on the hill that Shadowrun is a gold mine of movie ideas, particularly for anyone brave enough to do practical effects.

Any studio could probably have it for cheap and make bank with a decent enough script

You may be having a bad day

But at least you aren’t having a “trying to convince people to catch the blame so you don’t come out as a sex pest” bad day

Part of me finds this whole thing so GD odious.

The other part finds it absolutely hilarious that Bannon had to be hand walked into an underhanded takes about meds that give you false memories. Like, dude… that’s supposed to be your thing

“Oh I get it now”
Jeffrey Epstein advised Steve Bannon that the lawyers representing Brett Kavanaugh in his confirmation hearing should accuse Christine Blasey Ford of being on medications that cause false memories or memory loss.

“It was just, as the French say, le petit mort, Moneypenny… you know how it goes. What’s the next mission?”
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

It is unbelievably frustrating that Google’s advanced search no longer seems to let you make a date range. Are there better free news related search engines? I vaguely recall there is one FOR folks in journalism but I don’t know if you need a membership

He made a wish and the monkey’s paw uncurled a single, striking solitary finger
What a Faustian bargain: you get to be the richest man who ever lived, and all it'll cost you is to also be the biggest dipshit loser in human history. Future historians will comb the archives to find someone in the historical record with less rizz- with a greater deficit of dignity- to no avail

Just saw someone explaining to the cashier at a food court restaurant how sometimes the flex days on RTO can be hard, particularly on Tuesdays and I wanted to be like, “oh no…the person you’re talking to has to come in when they’re told to, babysitter difficulty or not, bail out of this discussion!”
