Ok not sure anyone will see this but might as well introduce myself.

I’m a BigLaw securities and corporate governance litigator and trial lawyer in Baltimore with two kids and an awesome wife.

In a former life, I was an opera singer and composer, and part-time rock star. Also fairly witchy. Hi!
Anyone else have trouble sleeping because your dreams are too mentally active - full of made-up legal problems, arguments with people, and stress about obligations that don’t exist? Any advice? #lawsky

I profoundly wish these people were still capable of feeling shame.
Jesse Watters highlights that Renee Nicole Good, the woman killed by ICE, had "pronouns in her bio" and "leaves behind a lesbian partner and a child from a previous marriage"

This is the right response. Separately - Why does ICE even have service weapons? They are not trained law enforcement officers in any sense. This was murder and people need to be arrested.

Jesus Tap-Dancing Christ. I will fight anyone who tries to "both sides" this administration.
Curtis Yarvin has written a very long screed in defense of his post in which he said, “Hitler spoke the truth.”

A sampling of select portions is below and includes, in reference to Jewish people, the words:

“The only way to tell is the name and the nose.”

Well, I guess the Trump Admin will get some experience running nationalized universal healthcare.
Not stopping at regime change in Venezuela, Trump announces U.S. will ‘run the country' after Washington-orchestrated coup "until a proper transition of power could be arranged," @nytimes.com reports, "raising the the prospect of an open-ended commitment."

Well, that’s a huge bucket of cold water on anyone maintaining hope that this year would be any less of an unmitigated clusterfuck than 2025. #Venezuela

This administration’s bigotry is exceeded only by its abject stupidity.
Don't need to imagine, Sinatra had something to say about multicultural liberal democracies 🧵

Just say women. This is taking forever.

Just when I think I can no longer be shocked by this administration, Dan Bovino goes on Newsmax in full-out Nazi cosplay.
Bovino on Abrego Garcia: "When he becomes deportable, he is going to get deported. And he needs to be deported now."

This is the funniest point/counterpoint I’ve seen in a long time.
Michael C. Rockefeller got shipwrecked in 1963, washed up on an island, and was promptly eaten by cannibals.

Why oh why would Microsoft Word change the default so that footnotes aren’t included in word count unless you click a box? Thought I was done and now have another 1400 words to cut. #lawsky

Dershowitz isn’t the big fish I care about, but regardless, this is what we in the legal profession call “very bad.”
To be very clear, Virginia Giuffre was made to say she mistakenly identified Alan Dershowitz as one of the people who sexually abused her. Here is the proof from this week's Epstein files dropped by the House Oversight Committee.

Is this in question? The entire existence of ICE can be attributed to Cheney’s influence over GWB after 9/11 that led to the creation of DHS.
Moderates can try and launder Dick Cheney all they want, but he was a murderous war criminal who laid the tracks for Trump and overt fascism.

We live in Cheney’s America, god help us, and it’s on us to dishonor him by undoing the damage he caused.

Never pass up a history lesson from Derek Guy. When Republicans talk about bringing back coal jobs, they want to benefit the bosses, not the workers.
JD Vance claims that diversity weakens unions, as people end up distrusting each other and not organizing.

Let me tell you two menswear stories related to this claim. 🧵

I'm having flashbacks to 2002, when many of us were saying "Homeland Security? I'm not sure that's a great idea..."
Yes, this is a real post made by the Department of Homeland Security.

None of this is normal.

What five pieces of media (books, TV, movies, music, etc.) were most responsible for forming your personality? Not your favorites per se, but the ones that most influenced who you are now. (I know @deaconblues1979.bsky.social will have a good answer to this one.)
