We joke but if you look, every mention of Peter on social media since 2019 has people responding with these photos, so I think we can assume important people were just mentally filing this as mean-spirited trolling or conspiracy theory. When they could see exactly what it was, with their own eyes.

Listening to this Starmer speech. This Pride In Place thing sounds a lot like Big Society. Unless he has a critique of austerity and commits to reversing all cuts (eg to the youth service) he's going to fail. (And so will the next PM).

Imo many MPs think their authority & legitimacy is so weak that "tradition" is the only thing holding it up - inc the olde worlde harry potter building, hence they resisted the efficient solutions, like a decamp-repair. But this will leave them defending vast costs , undermining legitimacy further
