A national ticket with Tim Walz on it could never lose!
If Dems talked like this regularly, we wouldn't have to focus on "how to win close elections in difficult environments." We would have a lot fewer close elections, and a lot fewer difficult environments.
Walz is out of Fs: "Not a single Republican supported this, so every Minnesotan from here on, whoever uses this program, there is no bit of thanks that would go to the R legislators who did all they could to stop this ... our schools have money to pay their teachers? I'll take credit for that too."

Breaking news: The Trump administration is overhauling the list of routine shots recommended for all babies and children in the U.S. including RSV, influenza, hepatitis A and hepatitis B.
U.S. overhauls childhood vaccine schedule, recommends fewer shots
The new strategy would no longer broadly recommend vaccines for flu, hepatitis A and B, rotavirus and meningitis. The Trump administration says this aligns the U.S. with peer countries.

Of course I'm surprised, because that would be an historic jump. If Félix Hernández reaches @sardell.bsky.social's median projection of 47%, his 26.4% gain would be the largest since BBWAA voters returned to annual balloting in 1967. Meeting Sardell's low-end projection (41%) would be 11th-largest

Today is the 37th anniversary of the attack on Nakatomi Plaza.
It’s worth noting that despite some reporting at the time, Liberte de Quebec had no affiliation with the attack and remains committed to nonviolence.

Slate's Dave Weigel with a smart take
I'll call it the Kennedy Center bc it'll get changed back eventually.

Nobody calls it "Ciudad Trujillo" - it's Santo Domingo.
What are you going to refer to it as?

It's clear from the Election Day vote that Republicans successfully juiced turnout by more than enough to win as this became a political environment much more similar to a midterm than an odd-year special
Y’all talked too much about the TN-7 race, turned it high salience, juiced turnout, and wrecked Dems’ chances of sneaking in a win.

But to be fair, the day she got there, the Club for Growth was already spending panic money on ads for Republican voters.
