Useful recommendation here from Carlton
My old tractor needed a new clutch. O/E parts are available but would be four-figures.

Jim Jack Services got the plate relined and the cover refurbished for £270.

They do brakes and clutches for motorbikes and classic cars too. Highly recommended #motorcycle #classiccar

I am lucky to have a couple of Neil's pieces and honestly they're superb. If I had a few bob spare right now I would be all over this.

Get some.
13h 30m later… this week’s #MondayDoodle is finished!

This piece is A3 sized and drawn with Faber Castell pencils. I hope you like it!

If you’d like to own it, it’s £175+p&p.

Magnificent
BMW E28 520i spotted in Caterham.

Such an elegant, understated shape. Looks super-clean, too. Definitely brightened up my trip to Tesco.

Any of you lot got a spare ticket for Sunday's Bicester Scramble?

I have major FOMO.

Lots on my mind at the moment. No better way to clear the head than a blast in this.

Well the world is [checks notes] completely fucking doolally, but I have 760 followers now on here and that can only mean one... well actually maybe two things.

Am I alone in thinking the E65 is now starting to look like quite a cool old smoker?

Newbury spot today.

I don't mind the Rapide, especially in pre facelift form like here, but like the Panamera there's just something not quite right about the proportions to my eyes.

Well, it's nearly 2026. Here are a few of my favourite car spots in 2025.

I was not familiar with the XK8 4.2S until this one turned up a few days ago, parked round the corner from my house.

Obviously currently enduring the indignity of a space saver but lovely condition apart from that and apparently one of just 200 made.

I am not a Jaaag man but I like this a lot.

Immaculate critique of AI here from Mike.
Asking AI any question is exactly the same as asking that bloke down the pub who knows absolutely fuck all but just makes up any old shit instead of admitting he doesn't know. And just like AI, you'd have to be fucking mental to trust him.

Blub blub blub.

First drive of the Fairthorpe for a couple of months. Needed full choke for a few mins but started on the 3rd (well, maybe 4th) attempt.

It may be road registered but it's a competition car through and through. Too harsh really for the road. Can't wait to get it on track in 2026.

Mrs J is out tonight.

Time to watch an old friend.

All of them. The answer is all of them.

Not because clay bars aren't great things that genuinely lift nasty particles and contamination out of your paintwork prior to a good buffing.

Just because it is so, so agonisingly boring. Life is too short for clay bars.
The car parts you should never use a clay bar on include matte paint, mirror caps, headlights, and peeling clear coats. Clay bars can damage these surfaces.

Urgently paging @phil-p.bsky.social !!!
Saw this absolutely pristine little old lady driven Pontiac Montana, but the two plausible license plate locations got me. Pretty sure these were only in the US, Mexico, and Canada, lone of which use longboi plates?

Good grief. That's genuinely incredible.

750 followers and I naturally continue the theme of large BMWs. E32, natch.

BUT, by way of contrast, here also is one of my all time dream cars, the Moretti 750 Gran Sport. I took this photo in Feb last year at Autoworld Bruxelles. An absolute jewel.

So this was a very nice surprise tonight in Marlborough. Only a Euro R CL7 Accord.

Never seen one before and now apparently I need one.

A good starting point in building your network on here, @roadsidetypist.bsky.social
A very long list of all the good car folk over on the bad place. It's a huge mix of folk so broaden them horizons and click

What's that? 748 followers?

Well the only possible response to that is to help you remember the genius of the late Massimo Tamburini.

Perfection.

I think every driver should watch Crash Detectives on the BBC. It'd a good reminder how vulnerable we all are on the roads and how quickly things can go very wrong.

Cheeky S2 Coupé spot in Marlborough tonight, specifically for @chrisfm52e.bsky.social
