Just now: Huge mass of agents in a standoff, weapons drawn as Reps. Ilhan Omar, Angie Craig, and Kelly Morrison attempt to conduct congressional oversight at the Whipple Building, which has been HQ for thousands of ICE agents.

ICE ultimately denied the members their due right to oversight.

A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you."

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

Then he knocks her phone out of her hand

So important, and labour are negligent for not seeing it
This political era is not really about winning converts. It is about bloc equilibrium. Labour has more to lose shedding voters to the Greens than it does gaining voters from Reform.

Last week in the UK, a bloke who kept turning up at military events in a bogus admiral’s uniform wearing a bunch of other people’s medals was convicted of an actual crime. And rightly so.
unspeakably pathetic stuff from Trump here as he says he'd be honored to accept María Corina Machado's Nobel Prize if she wants to give it up to him

This is also a field test.

If the press lets them muddy the waters on executing a woman in Minneapolis despite multiple witnesses and video recordings clearly depicting what happened, the message they'll take away is that there's nothing they can't get away with.

Nothing.

If a global south country was shooting its citizens in the face and kidnapping the leaders of neighbouring countries and threatening to invade a European country, the US would take military action against it. Looks like it's time for the US to take military action against itself.

The same people who spent yesterday, and the past five years, insisting a Black police officer who shot an insurrectionist breaking into the Capitol should be prosecuted are today bending over backwards to defend an ICE agent who shot a woman in her car in cold blood.

Scum.

I know they’re trying to turn this shooting into Dealey Plaza with their desperate camera angles and excuses for the murderous ICE officer but how do they explain the subsequent refusal to allow a doctor to reach the car? And lying that they already had medics there? All on tape.

Remember when a guy lost an election and then spent months making wild, baseless claims that it was stolen, leveraging the personality cult he’d built to try to get people to reject the results? And then thousands of his supporters rioted, injuring hundreds of cops?

Whatever happened to that guy?
