I was always a voracious reader (thanks goosebumps) but a big one (and I know this isn't a cool answer) was 'the handmaid's tale' which a friend's step mom lent to me when I was 12 and it just tore me to bits. I ran to the library and got out her other works like 'alias grace' and went fully bonkers

I don’t know I just think the Great Lakes are incredible and I think that with regard to natural wonders that they are often overlooked but based on their beauty, sheer power, cultural impact, and absolute scale, they really are just magnificent and we truly don’t give them the respect they deserve.

the movie 'Audition' has a special place in my heart because i got it from the library when i was in high school, it scared me so bad i THREW IT AWAY, paid the fine for losing it & couldn't stop thinking about it& rented it from the video store because i was too embarrassed to return to the library

Casey is spot on here. I accept that some people are fully squeamish of blood and injury on a psychological level, that's fine, but talking about the people who are always like 'oh gore is just cheap and tacky in horror' and they usually mean Hostel, and what they've heard about the Saw movies.
Serious talk, there's some positively incredible movies that are pretty gory, and I think just certain trends in 00s horror gave it a bad reputation. For example, Audition is one of my favourite movies ever! Got to see it on the big screen last year for its 25th anniversary!

Ps I did the math, for Halloween I had 21 costumes this year, 44 usd total cost, and less than 1 pound of non recycled dumpster waste! And out of the 3 thrifted items, I used both shirts for three looks each and I ended up loving the cargo pants and I've been wearing them a lot!
