Having a size 11 foot has been such a mixed blessing in this way many, many times.
Sometimes I will see a pair of shoes and say “oh no there goes $300 because I must have you” and then they don’t make them in my size so my bank account does a little sigh of relief.

My son (29) is here for the holiday and this is our 2nd year doing Thanksgiving at the Indian restaurant near me and it’s just the best idea. We have (store bought) pie for later and plenty of leftovers for tomorrow.

He might not have meant it as a compliment, but I received as such and it's one of the best things that has been said about me.

Okay I have made my colonoscopy appt for January. I've been avoiding it for the 5 years since I turned 50 for various reasons, but I'm promising my future self that we are getting it done next year.

I had tickets to a show tonight that I'm sure was going to be fantastic, but I have been to two shows already this week. I don't know why I thought I could manage a third. I'm bummed to miss out but SO HAPPY to be sitting quietly in my house.
