It's 6 months away, but kink and leather belong at Pride. Kink and leather are part of queer culture. Kink and leather are political. The whitewashing of queerness for the sake of acceptability is bowing the knee to fascism. You can't have a queer space devoid of politics, kink or leather.

Disability win for the day: my specialty pharmacy now lets me refill by text instead of calling. I've gone without my meds for over a month before because the process of the phone call is so overwhelming and complicated.

We all know that fear can make us want to fight, flee, freeze, or fawn. These are natural impulses. Appeasement doesn't work on fascists tho. Never has, never fucking will. It doesn't make them less dangerous, but it can turn you into someone who enables their violence.

I love when Mythbusters went to fetish shops. I also love that 10 year old me was exposed to those shops, and none of my southern baptist family realized what I was seeing, because fetish and kink gear aren't inherently sexual.
