So my first tip for this is just Read a Lot of Comics. have comics in your bookshelf (real or virtual) that you can flip through for inspiration and see how other artists are working and what/how they fit visuals into a panel. I read a lot of manga on my phone, and every time i see a page that--

For the first time in my life, I'm making a spreadsheet of book releases in the coming season that I want to keep an eye on. Chances are I won't get to read this entire list, but it's fun to sit down with the catalogs and really dig and see what catches my eye. Feels good and intentional!
