We hit 3.5%, and that's great, but other key criteria are that protests have to be sustained. It's not just one Saturday afternoon to fix all this. We have to keep doing it.

Add Stephen King's Running Man to this reading list. (Written under the Bachman pseudonym). And dont watch the movie version. It softens the ending.
The Democrats account has game. Hunger game, if you will.

This is the race/question about everything right now.

Oh look, an actual leadership expert on how this new guy ain't. 🤔
New FEMA head says he has: "...never read a book on leadership." I have read many and written several. This is not a good way to start leading an organization. Intimidation is not a good strategy to build long-term capability and accomplishment. www.cbsnews.com/news/fema-ac...

"Quiet quitting" by DHS attorney due to hostile work environment? 🤔 (PSA "qq" in quotes because it is a disgusting anti-worker term blaming the worker for having an a-hole boss.)
Remember that the ICE agents claimed they were looking for a totally different person before they smashed this guy’s car windows? And how he had asylum already?

Well, looks like that might not have even been a ruse. ICE didn’t even file a notice to appear in court, they clearly had nothing on him.

The acting FEMA head is misusing Organization Development theory to assert dominance. The conventional wisdom is that ~20% of people are early adopters, ~20% are set in their ways. The middle ~60% will go along with one or the other 20% based on the vibe of the change. The vibe here is effed.
Whoa‼️ Acting FEMA chief David Richardson just told his staff, “Don’t get in my way… I will run right over you.”—at his intro meeting.

Threatening career FEMA workers who might resist Trump’s agenda. What matters is loyalty. Obey or get steamrolled.

Authoritarianism — one agency at a time.

Yes, we would. That's how it's supposed to work. People in power are always irritated at the idea that they have to follow the rules. But they do. That's a major way we prevent dictatorship. #nokings
The Constitution’s Fifth Amendment says “no person” shall be “deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law”

TRUMP: "I don’t know. It seems — it might say that, but if you’re talking about that, then we’d have to have a million or 2 million or 3 million trials..."
Trump, asked if he has to 'uphold the Constitution,' says, 'I don't know'
Trump said on NBC News’ “Meet the Press” that he’s following lawyers’ advice as he tries to execute rapid deportations, arguing that giving immigrants due process is time-consuming.

As a legal observer also trained in workplace practices for dealing with ICE, when I read the memo, I already knew all of it. Why? Because it's just a summary of existing law. There is nothing in there that isn't just the rules and procedures ICE is SUPPOSED TO BE FOLLOWING.
Joining 20 coalition partners, we wrote a letter denouncing threats to arrest Gov. Evers over state guidance he issued regarding ICE.

Once again, the Trump administration is undermining democracy by appearing to target a public official they disagree with.

I know, norms and all that, but the default Dem position should be:

We think this is illegal but if the courts say you can do this then we are going to rip the guts out of the entire conservative movement. No more Heritage, FedSoc, etc. All of them lose their tax exempt status.

A majority of white people in America are willing to burn everything down rather than allow equal rights or a multicultural society to exist, basically most white Americans don't believe in America.

(not a shock they're that way, but it's surprising how far they're willing to go w/self-immolation)
Some perspective:

POLL: Only 45% of white people polled think Trump’s a dangerous dictator who should be stopped before he wrecks democracy.

NOVEMBER: Only 42% of white voters voted Harris.

Basically the same number—no shift. There’s still a lot of work to do and it’s unclear how we get there.
