On the patently unlawful boat strikes

It's hard for USGs to claim ‘mistake of law’ or ‘advice of counsel’ – when they’re firing lawyers who wouldn't sign off on the strikes.

WaPo's new revelations on firings or removals:

1) CIA General Counsel
2) NSC Legal Adviser
3) CIA Mission Center’s lawyer
🧵
White House blew past legal concerns in deadly strikes on drug boats
The Trump administration sidestepped skeptical lawyers across national security agencies as it pursued a military campaign against alleged narcotraffickers, officials say.

This is nuts.

Yesterday in the Comey hearing, prosecutors *repeatedly* confirmed that the full grand jury never saw or voted on the two-count indictment.

Now they’re claiming the grand jury *did* vote on it.

does this mean clay higgins voted against releasing the Epstein files but the senate kickback was a bridge too far
The House has voted unanimously to repeal the provisions in the shutdown package which allow GOP Senators to sue the federal government and get as much as $1 million in damages - because the feds looked at their phone records in the Jan. 6 investigation.

Johnson dangled the prospect that one of the children could receive money bc...he was entitled to $10 million as part of reparations for his January 6 arrest.

She has no such authority and this would violate basic due process.

A person cannot be terminated from public benefits, such as SNAP, without first getting notice and an opportunity to contest any termination.

This is plainly illegal
USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins announced that she plans to force millions of low-income SNAP recipients to reapply for the program. The news comes just weeks after Trump announced that, during the government shutdown, it would not provide SNAP benefits to those reliant on the program.
USDA Secretary Says All SNAP Recipients Must Reapply, Dubiously Citing Fraud
“Forcing millions to reapply is a deliberate effort to shrink the program and leave families hungry,” said one lawmaker.

Not a single word about how completely corrupt it is that the president is directing DOJ investigations
Breaking news: Attorney General Pam Bondi indicated she has appointed a prosecutor to examine the relationships between Jeffrey Epstein and other prominent Democrats, including former president Bill Clinton, as requested by President Trump today.
Bondi says Justice will investigate relationships to Epstein suggested by Trump
President Donald Trump suggested the relationships between the disgraced financier and several prominent Democrats deserve more scrutiny than his own connections to Epstein.
