"super junior at the department of children" undeniably a funny title, it's like what someone might call you for being a big crybaby about something
Hildegarde Naughton will be new Education Minister. Simon Harris will take finance, Helen McEntee foreign affairs and defence. Emer Higgins will be the new FG super junior at Dept of Children. Frank Feighan will be a junior minister for public procurement. @virginmedianews.bsky.social

You can love someone you love even if you don't love yourself🏳️‍⚧️
But if you love yourself, you can love both yourself and the person you love. Your love becomes twofold.
So take care of yourself.
Your soul is beautiful.

"And look little Timmy, Grandma's really just a drain on the economy anyway, you should really just put her out to sea, give her a Viking burial, to save money"
Fox guest on how to save money during the holidays:

"Remember, adults don't need gifts. Focus on the people in your life who are aged 3 to 18. Grandma doesn't need slippers. If they don't live by you, don't get them a gift."

As with Emma Watson and Rowling, the "smear" Linehan gets here is actually a bunch of compliments with only a *very* mild push back on not agreeing with him. TERFs demand complete acquiescence, anything less is an affront.

An underrated part of Predator Badlands I haven't seen mentioned is how much it makes it seem like Predator got all the cool stuff in the divorce from Alien. Giant yellow mechs, evil androids full of milk, everything but the kitchen sink (xenomorph) really.

Finished out the Roger Moore Bonds this week, I am not sad to be done with those. Also watched Amadeus for the first time, what a picture.

Just got out of Predator: Badlands. I have to say, of all the franchises to attempt a Renaissance in the 2020s, I would never have expected Predator to be one of the only successful ones.

I think he might think Mamdani won just because he used the word "affordability", like it has magical election-winning powers. Insane how easy it is to get Trump in a corner like this, and yet an entire global political system is bending over backwards to appease him.
Mamdani taught Trump a new word!

Okay, on a whim, I decided to watch Star Trek (2009) today and I'd like to say that movie rocks, really thoroughly enjoyed it.
After a lifetime of knowing basically nothing about Star Trek except that it's a popular sci-fi franchise, I am finally taking the plunge and beginning with The Next Generation.

Remember that time Dick Cheney shot a guy in the face and then the guy had to go on TV and apologise for how being shot in the face made Dick Cheny look bad?

"People shouldn't speak the native language of this country because I personally do not speak it and refuse to learn" oddly didn't go down well on my last trip to France.
Being a professional full-time "opinion columnist" is akin to a career as a Victorian hat maker.

It doesn't matter how stable, thoughtful, and intelligent you are at the outset; the working conditions will inevitably turn you into a dribbling, incoherent lunatic.

Literally just watched this movie for the first time yesterday. Another really tragic loss this year, sad to see.
