He can prove it by locking himself in a room with only CO2. I suggest he give it a try.
Burgum: "CO2 was never a pollutant. When we breathe, we emit CO2. Plants need CO2 to survive and grow. They thrive with more CO2. So the whole endangerment thing opens up an opportunity for the revival of clean, beautiful, American coal."

@schakowsky.house.gov as someone who has never stood up to ICE, you should be an expert, but I can't believe I had to fix this quote for you. What has Bliss done other than capitalize on the misery of his town being targeted? @katmabu.bsky.social did far more sitting down.

Context: this speech is from SIR THOMAS MORE, a history written, as near as scholars can tell, in the early 1600s by 6 or 7 people including Dekker, Heywood, Chettle, Shakespeare, and Munday.

It was never performed, because Jacobean England was a police state and it was banned by the censor.
Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

This is unreal. An AUSA talking like that in open court is about as close as you can come to a total breakdown. Never heard of anything like it.

In 1946, cartoonist & illustrator Noel Sickles was sent by Life magazine to sketch the Nuremberg trials. Here is his sketch of the execution of Joachim Von Ribbentrop, who claimed at trial that his boss had made all of the important decisions, & that he was only following orders.

To end up in the Epstein files for an essay about not being the type of person who ends up in the Epstein files is a wild turn.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT I AM IN THE FUCKING EPSTEIN FILES

Specifically, my essay "Straight White Male: The Lowest Difficulty Setting" is referenced in a 2013 Rachel Sklar article about Muriel Siebert. Why is it in the Epstein files at all? You got me.

What a wild fucking discovery. I am literally agog.

Pitter patter, get at it! Get out there and organize. I have been using a cheap heat sticker printer to slap up QR codes with info all over my neighborhood to organize; what's stopping you from doing something similar?

Been up all night with friends going through the unpleasantly long lists of infosec people in the Epstein Files. Yikes, guys. I knew some of them were pieces of shit, already - but too many other people fell for a transparent bid to illegitimatize elections, and I said so then. 🤷🏻‍♀️😞

For the last decade "unprecedented" shit has been happening nonstop; at this point, expect anything.
NASHVILLE: “Some could be without power until next week.”

Asked if NES was “prepared” to handle this, mayor O’connell says “It’s very very difficult to be fully prepared for things that are unprecedented”

He says the city hasn’t seen ice like this in decades

“Abolish” or “defund” aren't within grasp in 2026. But where are:

- End qualified immunity
- Rewrite use-of-force so this crap isn't ruled “within policy”
- Overturn July 8 mandatory detention memo
- Reinstate TPS
- Open up detention centers, enforce humane conditions

He doesn’t even *ask* for it.
Chuck Schumer just announced demands on DHS to avoid shutdown:
1. End roving patrols, tighten rules on warrants
2. Enforce accountability & unified code of conduct for agents
3. No more masks & require bodycams

There are *already* standards on much of this.

The issue is DHS isn't following them!

This makes it clear Obama is never going to save us. Maybe people will stop pretending and stand up for themselves. This is weak as hell.
The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

For some reason today, seeing Alex Pretti beaten, disarmed, then executed, I remembered how calmly cops took Dylann Roof and then went out and got him Burger King.
