Science repeatedly shows Covid and HPV vaccines work. Paxlovid works very well at keeping people out of the hospital, but it's still too expensive, and Dr's don't keep up on the results of studies.
If money is tight, don't feel obligated to host a dinner. And for you perpetual "guests" out there, go make or buy your own dinner for a change.
