If Democrats were to say Biden & Harris were terrible but we will nominate better people--vote for us in 2028 I'd be skeptical but at least it is a positive argument. When Democrats praise Biden & Harris despite their move to the right & awful record it gives no reason to trust them to do any better

Screwing up the shutdown and caving without getting anything is far from the worst thing done by Democrats in recent years as they have abandoned principle and moved right. However it is a good litmus test as to whether people will believe and repeat any of their dishonest spin.

Democrats are in the minority & they could not extract major concessions from Republicans but it is amazing that they got virtually nothing, especially after their electoral wins last week. As we have long known, the Democratic leadership is worthless. They need to go.

The solution to the budget impasse is obvious. Both parties should agree on Medicare for All. Republicans can say they ended Obamacare along with the subsidies & Democrats can take credit for actually giving us healthcare coverage. Unfortunately neither duopoly party will do this.

There have been more pictures of actors wearing masks in public lately such as Tom Hanks, Christina Applegate, and now Hugh Jackman. Hopefully this helps to increase mask use following the opposition to masking by both the Biden and Trump administrations.

This week's elections were a rejection of Trump & the same may be true in 2026 & 2028. 2024 was a rejection of Biden. 2020 was a rejection of Trump. If Democrats win in 2028 this cycle will continue, leading to Republican victories, unless there is major change in the Democratic Party.
