Any elected Democrat who refuses to destroy this lawless Gestapo should not know a day of peace as long as they live.
Heartbreaking cruelty visited upon children in our name

77 percent of Democrats want to abolish ICE.

When Trump isn't humiliating us to our allies abroad, Senate Dems are there to pickup the slack
“Give us a chance to give [Trump] a way out of this that comes to the right ending. … I don’t know if that’s possible.” - @durbin.senate.gov to Danes in Europe.

Can the Senate Dems sound any more limp, facile and impotent to Europeans across the Atlantic?

Nothing is more demoralizing to Dem turnout than seeing who Dem leadership is and has to say.
NEW: In this interview, Chuck Schumer describes the "five buckets" Dems think are key to their possibly winning a Senate majority in 2026: housing, "the high price of food [and] food monopolies playing a major role there," electricity, "the high cost of childcare," and health care.
Zero Chucks Left to Give
Chuck Schumer now sees a path back to the majority. Can he manage his way through it?

Yesterday, these incompetent fucks were just going door-to-door in a neighborhood near my house at 8:30 in the morning. School buses were driving through trying to pick up kids, people were out walking their dogs, and people were taking out their trash cans.

Looking forward to the GOP and entire right wing media screaming "TYRANNY!" at the top of their lungs again like they did when Joe Biden took action on student loans. What's that? Oh, oh I see.

If you're an attorney at Paul Weiss, you just bend over and take it from the government. No fight necessary.
"Lawyers are the necessary intermediary between citizens and their governments," writes Yulia Navalnaya, a Russian opposition leader and the widow of Alexei Navalny.

"That is why every dictatorship, from China to Tanzania, tries to tame them — or to break them. Russia is trying to do both."
Opinion | Yulia Navalnaya: Dictators are coming for the lawyers
The persecution of my husband’s lawyers shows how authoritarian power eliminates dissent at its source.

This is the safest, most moderate course of action that offers some prospect of de-escalation. It is the only way for Democrats.

Don't do it and we're on a glide path toward brutal fascist dictatorship or civil war. This isn't going to just stop on its own.
Senate Democrats absolutely have to shut the govt down to stop this ICE insanity in the Twin Cities. This is not sustainable & cannot be normalized. Any Democratic vote to provide money to the thugs who are brutalizing this community is a grave betrayal to the people here. Accountability can't wait.

Democrats need to realize ICE isn’t just—or even primarily—a mass deportation force.

ICE is also Trump’s most loyal internal security force which will be used to attack regime opponents and try to steal the election. They should defund his authoritarian capabilities.

A video of ICE agents conducting door-to-door searches today in Minneapolis

The homeowner requests a warrant repeatedly, is told they don't require one, then is told they're getting it, then the agents storm in anyway

They also point a taser at her to try and disrupt filming
