Hey #Kikorangi. Are you enrolled to vote? Are all the people you’re in daily contact with who’ll be 18 or older enrolled to vote? It’s really easy to do. You could do it now. You should do it now. Do it now. vote.nz

I love my bikes, and being a cycle commuter. Even on my pushbike it is quicker to do my 15km commute by bike than by car or bus. And even in ‘bad’ weather I usually still get home with a smile on my face (unless a driver or two has tried to kill me that day)

I know Foxy’s post is about book plots, but I can tell you…I don’t need to kill my husband…he has plenty of near misses on his own accord!

(Narrowly surviving through good luck, and my good management 😎)
You're going to kill your no account husband, what method?

1) Bash him with a stove length then throw him in a well?
2) Evade him just long enough that he gets blown up in a haunted hotel but you & your son escape
3) Make him have a heart attack whist handcuffed to you?
4) Push him down the stairs?

Phwoar, I guess I just don’t have the stamina I used to in my youth. Had to tap out on the third of three breakfast courses, but be damn sure I’m saving this for later on (pacing myself before ginormous family Christmas dinner tonight).

Had fun tonight with the Auckland Bicycle Safari, visiting Christmas lights around the city (but I forgot to get a photo of the giant Christmas tree in Te Komititanga!)

Major beef with BION quiz tonight…not only did they Whamageddon me, but then we were robbed of a place on the podium when we were denied ‘watches’ in answer to the feature on Dali’s The Persistence of Memory ☹️

Couple of branching thoughts before I move on.

As long as we continue to view management and leadership as about control and status laddering, rather delivering results and elevating those around us, we will continue to incentivise unsuitable and sometimes downright broken people to cling to power.

So much fun at Pub Choir tonight, absolutely worth the earworm that will stay with my me for a long time. My face hurts from smiling and my throat knows it’s been singing loudly!

This Parihaka Day, it's even more vitally important we acknowledge the ugliness in our past, as our government twist themselves in knots undoing all progress towards redressing such injustices. They're arrogant, racist and dangerous.

I’m on a 3-day course for work, and was surprised to find it is lecture-style. This guy just spent 40 minutes lecturing us about differing learning styles and how most of us learn through doing or talking/reflecting… without a flicker of realisation or irony. I thought the ed sector had moved on!
