Encourage any women you know who have made a report to Police about safety concerns or violence to request a copy of the file. You can do it online or in person. If the file shows that it wasn't dealt with appropriately, make a formal complaint. We need to show that it's systemic.

There was the usual rectal exam for prostate issues/cancer, but because that was considered "unnecessarily undignified" a blood test for PSA was swiftly developed.
Can't have men put in undignified situations no siree
I seriously want to know now, is there any screening procedure in men's health that is that painful?

Recalling the time some male Wellington leaders, including Police, were outraged that I hadn’t publicly condemned Tamatha Paul. One even called me out in front of other community leaders. Many of us connected to marginalised communities know Tam was speaking truth, which we’re seeing play out live.

1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

2 points.
Never owned or needed a "boombox" cos of the Walkman, or a set of encyclopedia cos of the library - and parents who were teachers 🤣
1 point. I had a boombox (we called them *cough* 'ghettoblasters' at the time) - used it to record songs from the radio, and tape to tape - but I never put it on my shoulder. That always seemed a very US thing to me, not something done as much in AoNZ.
(i got a zero lolz)
