Sneak peak of A Generation of Clouds, my next video essay:
People talk about The Hague like it's that deepsea superhero prison from the marvel films

I know political commentators are notoriously Like This, but this is on the Jordan Peterson level of obtuseness. "What do you mean by grammar, what do you mean by good, what do you mean by deployed."

The reason you don't want to be on this level is because a slime mold has been consuming his brain
But can anyone tell me what this bit means? “For too long, those fluent in the good grammar of civility have deployed decorum to mask agendas of cruelty.”

On my bus home from spending the day in hospital with the little guy, no fucking clue what to do with myself, will probably get a pizza and have an early night

The studio version of Bleachers' "Merry Christmas, Please Don't Call," is straight up bad, but the specific live version recorded at NYU in 2024 is potentially my favourite Christmas song

Just by the by, I wont be posting any pictures of the little man at all, I would rather not put his face into the online algorithm data meatgrinder until he's at least old enough to understand why

Unbelievably, this was posted only 4 hours ago. Absolutely surreal seeing this in 2026, like seeing a comment written in high Germanic or archaic Sanskrit

Same, I too hated Aliens and Alien 4
I miss the old days when there were only 2 bad mainline Alien movies.

My number one tip for helping your partner through labour so far is: don't tell them they are "graceful, like a ballerina," while they're taking their fifth waddle around the labour ward at 4 am, that will not go down very well

The truly wonderful thing about the Into The Spine year wrap-up is a diversity of talented voices animating a cacophony of perspectives. Every year it's a bunch of remarkable people saying shit I never would have thought of in a beautiful way, and I'm so lucky to have been part of it

In the induction ward with my partner currently(we are not leaving the hospital without a baby, how cool is that) but a guy keeps shouting at his partner, who is in labour, on the other side of the room and like. I'm not a violent person, but

There's a lot of talk about how Ireland needs to buy lots of bombs to shore up our national security at the moment, but I'd love to know what's being done to prevent blatant, malicious attacks on our political establishment by foreign actors like Steven Miller?

I've been playing Enyo and Solomon's Boneyard for 8 and 15 years respectively, and have not spent one red cent on either. Highly recommendable

Luminous little game. You can play it in an evening, and I promise that you will be glad that you did. An easy, easy sell
