All these accusations against #PresidentMusk are ridiculous. They're just trying to use the Presidential Records Act to avoid open records requests and subpoenas about DOGE activity until 2034, which is obviously how you know this is all on the up-and-up.

School boards are the front line of our fight for democracy and rule of law. You can make a bigger impact locally.
If we want to do this, people who believe in democracy need to start gearing up to run for school boards across the country ASAP.
When we survive this dark chapter and there are sane people back in charge, can we agree that education and specifically civics education to ensure an informed, educated citizenry will be a high priority?

Insofar as Matt has any concrete policy recommendations, they appear to amount to "anything that's win-win & doesn't disturb any particular constituency." Which, fine. But that heuristic -- "eh, climate's not the end of the world, don't sweat it" -- is a recipe for always putting climate second.

Saying "climate won't wipe out humanity" gets you nowhere. OK then how bad do you think it is? How do you assess the danger? How much action do you think is warranted? What's *your* temperature target? Quit pompously preaching about trade-offs & actually make some. Show your work.
