I’m more a chatter-with & connector-of people than a poster. I’ll remember years later that you once said you like pancakes & tag you in a recipe I just found.

If any enterprising filmmaker wanted to make something post-MeToo while capitalising on the Hugh Grant renaissance, they should adapt Mary Gaitskill's This Is Pleasure. You can have that idea for free.

Una Mullally: Media outlets need to break ties with X
The presence of media outlets on X does not have a diluting effect on the concentration of misinformation on the platform. If it did, then we wouldn’t be where we are

I only awoke now! Turned the ould alarm clock off but went back to sleep! Glorious! I’m WFH so it’s not a disaster and I am logged on now, while sipping my coffee, maybe not as alert as usual, but not trying to stuff breakfast in me and commute for about 1h20m, only starting work around 10.30. 1/2

They achieved decentralisation with no loss of productivity, and now they want to lose staff who find it easy to move and torture staff who can’t.
AIB staff have "overwhelmingly" voted to reject new hybrid working principles put forward by the bank, the Financial Services Union (FSU) has said.

There's been a great deal of debate about how safe Dublin city centre is, but when we @dublininquirer.com looked for data to resolve this, we couldn't find much useful – so we commissioned a survey to try to add some facts/data to the debate. Today we've published five articles about the results. 1/

I'd like to see more people - writer & readers - get away from it.

Substack is a capitalist machine. It's not your friend.

Some thoughts on moving a subscriber list away from Substack - for various reasons, some political, some personal, some about not wanting to give part of my income to venture capitalists - and something very very strange (and a little scary) that has happened as a result of it...
